Infants
6 weeks through 18 months

 

The Inchworm and Ladybug classrooms are designed to assist your infant with healthy brain development in these early months of life.  Our loving teachers provide your infant with a foundation for various skills, including:

  • Social Skills
    *communicating through the use of babbling, gestures, and facial expression
    *interaction with puppets and picture books
    *listening to songs, rhymes, stories, and finger plays
  • Emotional Skills
    *developing relationships with caring teachers
    *exploration through self-discovery

    *plenty of much-needed tummy time
    *grasping toys
    *rolling, crawling, standing, and, eventually, walking with the aid of our supportive teachers
    *body awareness through music and dance

    *sensory exploration through the use of sight, smell, sound, and touch
    *investigating objects of various shape, size, color, and texture

It is important to note that, although the Inchworm and Ladybug classrooms have a general daily schedule, our infants do make their own schedules based on individual need, eating, and sleeping patterns. We never forget that you are your infants most important teacher and offer written reports each day to maintain a solid parent-teacher connection.


Toddlers
19 months through 30 months

Our Itsy Bitsy Spiders classroom focuses on hands-on experiences that encourage your toddler to foster curiosity in a safe and nurturing environment. Children at this age often have a vast amount of energy, so our toddler program works to emphasize learning through play with the in order to develop confidence, as well as a sense of identity. In the Itsy Bitsy Spiders classroom, our teachers promote:

30 months through 36 months

The Busy Bees classroom is making new discoveries every day! Our advanced toddler program helps children at this age find independence in a classroom filled with sharing, learning, and exploring. Our toddler teachers implement Learn Everyday Curriculum into a variety of classroom activities, focusing on a number of developmental areas including:

The Busy Bees class is a potty-training room, so we take the time to work with your child in establishing the regular bathroom routines necessary to make the transition to our preschool rooms.


Preschool
3 and 4 years

 

Because children at this age soak up knowledge like sponges, the Caterpillar classroom invites children to grow and learn through fun and exciting activities. Our teachers at this level attempt to foster the growth of self-esteem, becoming problem solvers and life-long learners. Learn Everyday Curriculum is used in this class, focusing on learning through guided play and discovery. Children work daily on literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts through independent, small, and large group instruction. In the Caterpillars classroom, our teachers promote development of:

Preschool & Pre-K
4 and 5 years

 

Preparing for kindergarten is an exciting step for both children and parents. The Butterfly and Cricket classroom utilizes Learn Everyday Curriculum to get them ready for this milestone through the teaching of letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. The children are given the opportunity to work independently, as well as in small and large groups, in an organized atmosphere. Our PreK teacher holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education and all lessons are aligned with the State of Ohio Department of Education’s Early Learning Content Standards. In the Butterfly and Cricket classroom, our teachers promote development of:

School-Age
5 through 13 years

Even when school is out for the day, our center provides schoolage children with a comfortable, yet exciting environment. We currently bus students to and from West Park Elementary, West Main Elementary, Willyard Elementary, and Brown Middle School. During our before-school care program, children receive a nutritious  breakfast and are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities while they wait for the bus. Our after-school care program allows students time to complete their homework, as well as socialize with their friends through an array of Cinci Curriculum activities . Children are also offered a healthy snack upon arrival from school. In the Dragonflies classroom, our teachers:

  • Plan fun & exciting recreational activities, both indoor and outside
  • Provide homework support & assistance, as needed
  • Incorporate daily fitness activities
