Curriculum
Our Curriculum
Amanda's Garden utilizes High Reach Curriculum
All High Reach Learning curriculum programs are based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on activities that address the needs of the whole child. In addition, each High Reach Learning curriculum reflects the belief that children need a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities each day. This approach is grounded in sound child development theory and appropriate practices. Themes are used to introduce information and learning takes place as a child explores and manipulates real objects and events.
Caterpillar/Butterflies/ELI Curriculum
High Reach curriculum for Preschool builds a strong foundation upon which children construct a world of knowledge! Through hands-on exploration, the curious preschool child experiences basic skills and concepts while having fun. Fun hands on activities to keep the children actively involved as they learn to recognize letters, explore beginning sounds, understand number concepts, develop positive character traits, and much more.
Itsy-Bitsy Spiders/Busy Bee Curriculum
High Reach in our toddler classrooms encourage toddlers to explore the world around them. Through this monthly curriculum, toddlers build vocabulary, small and large motor skills, creative expression, socialization and much more.
          School Age Curriculum
We realize that school age children spend most of their day at school sitting behind a desk. At Amanda's the children are free to make choices throughout the classroom of activities they want to participate in. Each child is given individual attention in the relaxed but active environment, with attention give to social needs as well as developmental needs. We believe that children need to relax after their busy day at school, complete assigned school projects with teacher assistance and pursue other activities of interest.
